Flexibility, stress, abrasion, chemical resistance, heat stability

Polyolefin or polyamide tubes may be produced with Mesgo Altair® PE, Avior® PP and Mizar® PA compounds, also with perfect color matching.


Flexible and spiral tubes may be obtained with SK Evatane® EVA or Lotryl® EMA, EBA copolymers or PVC compounds from TPV Compound for air conveying systems of air, dust, industrial fumes and gases, or fluids. Evatane® EVA is an advantageous Solution for flexible PVC replacement.


Standard PE, PP, EVA, EMA, EBA virgin polymers and various compounds are also regularly available at Speedy Polymers at advantageous prices with special offers, off-specs, slow movings from the major world producers.


Short and long chain polyamides are also often used for their good combination of chemical and thermal resistance. Specific PA6 and PA6.6 compounds for chemical resistance are available with Poliblend Polimid® portfolio. Specific tailor-made Ambramid® PA6 and PA6.6 can also be developed.


Long-chain polyamides are available with Nexis Fibers PA6.10 and 6.12, bridging the gap between PA6, PA6.6 and PA11, PA12, with intermediate properties in terms of flexibility, heat and chemical resistance, water adsorption and dimensional stability. Mesgo developed specific Mizar® PA6 compounds showing outstanding thermal and chemical resistance at affordable price, where expensive long-chain PA12 would be otherwise required.


Flexible, soft and anti-scratch tubes, showing at the same time very high thermal, chemical, corrosion and microbial resistance can be obtained with Sipol Sipolprene® TPC-ET. Applications include for example transport of fluids (air, gases, liquids) even under conditions of extreme pressure, temperature span from very cold to heat, corrosion, such as in automotive, industries, industrial cleaning, marine, etc.


Ambra TPC Regrind Black 1 is a 100% post-industrial TPC-ET block copolyester regrind from a single-source automotive application with very high mechanical, chemical and thermal resistance, with similar properties and very attractive price and environmental footprint.


Solutions for the injection moulding of pipe and hose connectors include compounds by Mepol Meplen® and ecoMeplen® PP, Poliblend Polimid® and Secomid® PA6 and PA6.6, Lotte Starex® ABS and may be find at the Sections “E+E, HOME, OFFICE, INDUSTRIAL, CONSUMER” and “TRANSPORTS”.

Ambra TPC Regrind Black 1: a TPC-ET block copolyester regrind from a single-source 100% post-industrial automotive application. An all-in-one: economical, low environmental impact, flexible, soft, anti-abrasion, tough, broad thermal range stability, resistance to chemicals, fumes, corrosion and microbial contamination, colored in black.

Conductive, antistatic and flame retardant solutions

With one of the largest production capacity in Europe for carbon black masterbatches and compounds, Mesgo is a specialist in conductivity, with the Mirach® PVC, Altair® PE, Avior® PP and Mizar® PA brands, showing an excellent morphology distribution and dispersion.


Permanent dissipative or antistatic effect properties on olefins and styrenics (PE, PP, PS, ABS) are obtained by the direct addition of a permanent anti-static additive together with Lotader® or Orevac® compatibilizer. Applications include dissipation of electrostatic charges and conferring of anti-dust properties in hoses and fittings for automotive, electronics, white goods, clean rooms (pharma, medical).


Mesgo has a big focus on flame retardant compounds, both halogenated and halogen-free, as well as Poliblend with Polimid® and Secomid® PA6 and PA6.6.

Polymer modification and additivation

SK famous Evatane®, Lotryl®, Lotader® and Orevac® polar and reactive polyolefin copolymers offers the broadest range on the market of additives for the flexibilization and impact modification of PVC, polyolefins and engineering polymers. The modifiers can be pre-compounded, pre-blended or sometimes even directly added during extrusion.


Evatane®, Lotryl® and Orevac® are used to modify PVC, PE and PP. Standard maleic anhydride Lotader® terpolymers are used for the modification of PA, while Lotader® AX terpolymers are used for polyesters.


Mesgo SwingAdd® additive masterbatches help to reduce the temperature degradation, improve the lifetime on UV and oxidation exposure, improve polymer processability, scratch resistance, reduce the moisture content. SwingAdd® are available as single-function additives or as a combined proprieties or colors (combi-batches).


JazzWhite® and TangoBlack® masterbatches are produced in large volumes at Mesgo Grigno plant, and they show very high concentration and excellent pigment dispersion at competitive price. Color masterbatches are produced at Mesgo Iride Colors, with very high flexibility also for small batches

Multi-layer and gas-barrier tubes

High oxygen- and gas-barrier full plastic tubes are obtained by coextrusion of CPP Evasin® EVOH barrier polymer with Orevac® grafted PEPP or EVA modified reactive tie-resins, with applications in sanitary and industrial tubes for the transport of gases, vapors or liquids which are prone to oxidation, or which are dangerous for the external environment.


Multi-layer structures may also be obtained by other technologies including extrusion coating, extrusion lamination, hot-melt lamination or thermoadhesive films or tapes. In this case various combinations of SK Lotryl®, Lotader®, Orevac® T or Platamid® adhesive resins will be used.

Metal pipes and tubes extrusion coating and powder coating

Sipol Sipolprene® TPC-ETPoliblend Polimid® PA, Mesgo Mirach® PVC, Altair® PE and Avior® PP are used for the extrusion coating of pipes, tubes, sleeves, fittings and field joints in steel, copper and metals in general, aiming to protect metal from corrosion, with different levels of mechanical performance, corrosion resistance and price.


SK Lotryl®, Lotader® or Orevac® modified polar and reactive polyolefins may be used alone, in dry-blend or in multi-layer structure to increase the adhesion of polymers to metal during extrusion coating.


Coating of pipe and fittings may also be obtained by using the above thermoplastic powders with different application systems. While the above materials in Ambra portfolio are typically available in granules only, Ambra provide you the corresponding powder with the desired particle size and color under the brand name Ambra Powder.

Heat Shrinkable Thermoadhesive Sleeves

Effective HST sleeves for the outer and inner coating or lamination of pipes and joints may be obtained with SK Evatane® EVA or Lotryl® and Lotryl® T EMA and EBA. Higher adhesion is achieved with the reactive Lotader® and Orevac® modified polyolefins – combinations of these products are also possible.


Protection and high adhesion may also be achieved with Arkema Platamid® copolyamide.

Recycled Polymers

The international protocols and the increasing public awareness on global climate change and plastic marine littering is pushing manufacturers to both increase the quantity and to upgrade the quality of recycled plastics – a challenging target.


Mepol ecoMeplen® PP and Poliblend Secomid® PA recycled compounds are an environment-friendly and economical choice for standard pipes or fittings. Lotte Advanced Materials is also recently launching a new portfolio of recycled PP mineral filled compounds.


Ambra TPC Regrind Black 1 was specifically designed for 100% sustainable plastics. It was developed by Ambra starting from TPC-ET copolyester post-industrial regrinds from flexible automotive hoses, showing perfect quality and supply consistency, great resistance to chemical and thermal degradation, easy processing, and very appealing esthetic properties for matt black flexible tubes for conveying hot air, gases or liquids.


Recycled polymers, either from post-industrial or post-consumer source, pose important technical challenges, including poor mechanical performance, poor esthetics, bad smell caused by inhomogeneity and contaminations. Effective compatibilization, flexibilization and impact increase of virtually all recycled plastics may be obtained by the direct addition during tube extrusion of SK  Evatane® EVALotryl® EMALotader® or Orevac®.

Ambra Impact and Upgrade polymer blends and compounds are used for the same purpose and allow the greatest performance vs cost ratio.


Residual water content, typical of post-consumer scrap, may be removed with Mesgo SwingAdd® PE desiccant masterbatch. Esthetic properties maybe significantly improved with Mesgo Jazzwhite®, Tangoblack® and color masterbatches.


Issues on smell on any reprocessed plastic can be overcome by Ambra Upgrade MBF fragrance masterbatches with very high perfuming power - based on Pollena Aroma® huge know-how on fragrances with a library of thousands of scents, and SK Evatane®, Lotryl® or highly impregnating resins. Tailor-made Ambra Upgrade MBF masterbatches with the desired fragrance matching are suitable.
