Arkema® launches two new Evasin® and Orevac® grades for oxygen barrier in rigid packaging

The new grades complete the broad range of Ambra Polymers Solutions for blow moulding and sheet coextrusion / thermoforming for rigid packaging

ARKEMA® launched two brand new products on the market of the rigid gas barrier packaging. The OREVAC® 18728, a phthalate free PP tie resin and the EVASIN® EV3251FT, an EVOH grade with 32% ethylene content, are suitable for sheet thermoforming and container blow molding, offering a one-stop solution. Indeed, both materials can be advantageously combined and processed together through sheet and blow molding co-extrusion.

While OREVAC® 18728 confers internal packaging cohesion by developing an effective adhesion on PA and EVOH, EV3251FT imparts effective gas barrier properties thanks to its low ethylene content within its composition (32%).

OREVAC® 18728 is phthalate-free, and – being based on PP homo-polymer - it is suitable for retort and sterilization processes.
