Impact Modification of High Flow Length PA Compounds with SK Lotader®

Polyamides (PA) have good mechanical and thermal properties, but one important weakness is their poor impact resistance, especially in presence of a notch.

SK Lotader® 4700 reactive terpolymer is the golden standard solution for impact modification of PA compounds with perfect balance between impact strength, tensile performance, flexural modulus and viscosity/flow length.

However, some PA compounds need to retain higher flow-length – i.e. for the injection moulding of thin, small or complex items. In that case, the new Lotader® 4513T, produced with tubular technology, is the preferred option, keeping a comparable impact modification performance, but preserving a high flow length.
