LOTTE Advanced Materials is showcasing its unique eco-friendly material technologies at the special experience zone of “Kenny Scharf, Super Pop Universe,” an exhibition that is being held at LOTTE Museum in the LOTTE World Tower in Seoul. The exhibit is set to run from Oct. 3, 2018 through March 3, 2019.

LOTTE Advanced Materials has succeeded in the mass production of recycled plastics, putting together PCM (Post Consumer Material) and ABS materials for the first time in the world. The company is now at the forefront of developing sustainable material solutions based upon eco-friendly technologies and production processes.

The exhibition introduces the major works of American pop artist Kenny Scharf, who delivers eco-friendly messages through his creations. In this exhibition, Scharf has collaborated with Oxford, a Korean maker of interlocking brick toys, to produce an experience program. Visitors can get hands-on experience on not only recycled materials but also bricks made up of diverse eco-friendly materials featuring antimicrobial, paint-free and metallic characteristics.

Visitors can play with blocks that show off a rich selection of colors as well as eco-friendly materials. They can also put sticky notes about the environment on their block creations in a way that indirectly explores the artist’s worldview and LOTTE Advanced Materials’ eco-friendly material technologies.

LOTTE Advanced Materials is also holding a program titled “LOTTE Museum Block School & LOTTE World Adventure” as part of social contribution activity in connection with the Kenny Scharf exhibition. The program provides exhibition tickets, access to Oxford Block School operated by brick toy specialists and LOTTE World pass as a package for the working mothers and their children who took part in “Mom’s Happiness Healing Time” event held in September.

LOTTE Advanced Materials will continue to support the special programs for visitors and working mothers through the end of the exhibition. For further information on the exhibition, please visit LOTTE Museum website (http://www.lottemuseum.com).
