Again another positive year at Ambra

Sales at Ambra Polymers Group exceeded 20 million Euro in 2017

Ambra overall sales finalized at 20.3 million € in 2017, corresponding to +5% over the previous year.

In a challenging environment others may see this as a brilliant result, but Danilo Santoro, CEO at Ambra, does not share the same opinion. “Anything less than a double-digits sales growth is a failure for Ambra. We experienced a number of force majeures and difficult market situations, that’s a fact. But at Ambra we take the tough times as a chance for improvement.

In 2017 we set the basis for a further sustainable growth. We put great effort to implement our new Thermoplastic Solutions approach, and we broadened our portfolio. At the same time we coherently created a separate Speedy Polymers Business Unit for commodity, slow-moving, and spot trading. We exhibited at several local trade fair, with positive fallouts on medium term.

Our German branch did not out-perform as we budgedet, but we have seen very encouraging signs in the last Quarters. We reinforced our Spanish and French subsidiaries. In January 2018 we will open our 7th and 8th sales branch in UK and Turkey.

We have budgeted 25 million € overall sales for 2018 a challenging but realistic target.”
